The 2nd Annual Public Art Program in Cannon Beach!

Sculpture Without Walls 2008-09, A City of Cannon Beach Public Art Program
The City of Cannon Beach, Oregon presented its second annual Sculpture Without Walls (SWW) in the Spring of 2008 and was on display from April 2008 to April 2009. Five sculptures were selected by a panel of jurors and were installed in prominent outdoor locations in Cannon Beach. On the weekend of May 3 and 4, 2008 the winner of “the Peoples Choice Award” was revealed, "Fisherman's Dance" and was purchased for $15,000. The piece is now a permanent part of the City’s public art collection.  

The 5 sculptures shown below were selected by last year's panel of jurors and will remain on display through April 2009.  Click here to view the map of sculpture locations.

· Wayne Chabre, Artist of Walla Walla, WA whose "Delicate Balance"was the 2007 People's Choice
· John Olbrantz, Maribeth Collins Director, Hallie Ford Museum of Arts, Willamette University
