Tsunami Refuge Areas

North of Ecola Creek: head to area above 8th Street

Downtown: evacuate towards Spruce Street between Adams and Jefferson. Do not cross Ecola Creek Bridge. The Presbyterian Church parking lot is located 39 feet above sea level.

Cannon Beach Grade School: If the Ecola Creek Bridge is still intact, evacuate across the bridge and up towards the highway. If the Bridge is out, evacuate up Spruce Street, towards Adams and Jefferson.

Midtown: evacuate towards the highway. Spruce Park Baptist Church is 60 feet above sea level.

Tolovana: evacuate towards the highway. The Children’s Center is located 50 feet above sea level.

Arch Cape and Cove Beach residents: move 40-50 feet above sea level. The Catholic Church would be a safe gathering place.
