The mission of the parks is to provide park areas and facilities that are clean and accessible to enable the public to enjoy leisure experiences and active recreational pursuits. The division maintains the City’s park and public landscaped areas including City owned parking lots. Listed below are some of the division’s highlights:

• Protect Cannon Beach’s public trees, and inspect, maintain, and provide emergency response for all trees on public property.
• Maintain park areas, facilities, and assets to ensure a safe and aesthetically pleasing environment
• Provide park areas and facilities that are clean and accessible and enable the public to enjoy leisure experiences and active recreational pursuits.
• Pursue improvements to parks plans that reduce maintenance costs and/or replace infrastructure as needed.
• Maintains playground and tennis, basketball, soccer, baseball, and skateboard courts.
• Maintain park lighting, fences, picnic table/benches, and drinking fountains.
• Maintain public landscaping including beach accesses and public parking lots.
